Capturing Love at Golden Gardens Park: A Maternity Photosession

In May, I had the wonderful opportunity to do a maternity photosession for a very sweet couple at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle. This beautiful location offered a stunning beach backdrop, complete with soft sand and swaying beach grass that added a lovely touch to the photos.

We decided to schedule the session a few hours before sunset, which is often referred to as the "golden hour." This time of day is magical for photography, as the sunlight casts a warm glow that really makes images come alive. It was mainly sunny for our shoot, but the weather was a bit chilly due to the wind. The cool breeze added a unique flair to the experience, even if it did make us bundle up a bit!

The focus of our session was the couple, especially the mom-to-be, who wore a stunning red gown. The color popped beautifully against the beach backdrop. It was a perfect choice that reflected her radiant personality and the exciting journey they were on together.

Of course, every photoshoot comes with its challenges. On this particular day, the wind was quite strong, and it made it difficult to keep the skirt of the gown in place. We had to get a little creative and used some rocks to weigh it down. It turned into a fun little adventure, and we laughed a lot while managing to keep everything under control!

After the session, I spent some time editing the images. Since it was quite sunny, the colors in the original photos appeared a little washed out. I made sure to enhance the images in post-processing and added a bit of warmth to create a fun and inviting vibe that matched the happy spirit of the couple.

One of my favorite moments from the session was seeing the husband's attentive nature towards his wife. He was genuinely caring and supportive, making sure she was comfortable and happy throughout the shoot. It’s moments like these that truly showcase their love and connection.

After delivering the final photos, I was thrilled to hear their feedback. They absolutely loved the pictures! Knowing that I could capture such special memories for them during this important time in their lives truly made my day.

All in all, the maternity photosession at Golden Gardens Park was a beautiful experience filled with love, laughter, and some fun challenges. I’m so grateful to have been part of this couple's journey as they looked forward to welcoming their new addition!
