Winter Maternity Photo Session At Snoqualmie Pass | Maternity Photographer

This was such a magical maternity session! We had to reschedule it a few times because the snow is so unpredictable. It gets so heavy sometimes at Snoqualmie Pass that it causes many accidents and the officials have to close it down.

Finally everything was working out in our favor and I was so happy that we were able to make it work.

I got to the location an hour early. As I mentioned earlier the weather is so unpredictable that, you never know what roads will be open or closed. I always have to go early to find out possible good spots. This time it was Alpental Ski Area. It had plenty of parking, wasn't too crowded and had gorgeous views of trees covered in snow.

It snowed very heavy that day! At one point it was snowing so hard I couldn't see a few feet in front of me! Thank goodness I brought an umbrella to keep my client's hair safe in between the shoots.

We all met up at a Red Mountain Coffee at Snoqualmie Pass and then all hoped in my car and went to Alpental Ski Area which was only a few minutes away.

When we got there the parking was almost full, apparently some other photographers thought it would be a very nice spot for their photo sessions as well. Oh well, I guess grate minds think alike. I had to do some crazy maneuvering just to get us parking.

The photo session went really well. I like the fact that there was lots of open space with gorgeous mountains in the background. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful scenery. It was absolutely magical.
