Maternity Session In The Mountains | Cle Elum Photographer

A few months ago we have made a huge decision and moved in the middle on nowhere tiny town called Cle Elum. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth, surrounded by majestic mountains, rivers and lakes. Perfect for nature lovers.

This place also has lots of beautiful location for photo session. Forests, mountains, rivers, open fields, waterfall, and lakes this place is an abundance of all of it. That's why I was so excited to do a maternity up in the mountains which showcased not only the beautiful mother to be but also the gorgeous mountain top.

This session took place in a historical town called Liberty. Located only a few miles away from Cle Elum. Liberty used to be an old gold mining town. Some people still mine there in hopes of finding the precious metal. Liberty is very small. I mean you can count the residents on both your hands. Some would even argue it is a ghost town.

For the photoshoot we drove passed Liberty up into the mountains by the means of forest road. It is a fairly well maintained road but I would still highly recommend at least an all wheal drive. There have been a few instances when people got stock up in the mountains and had to walk miles back down to get their car towed.

I knew exactly where I wanted the shoot to take place. We used to go there camping all the time. It is the perfect spot that overlooks Mt. Stuart and neghboouring mountains. The view is amazing!

Once we got there we had to work really fast. We only had about an hour before the sun went down leaving us with little light to work with. Our hard work paid off big time with beautiful pictures to show for it.

I had so much fun doing this session and can't wait to do more.
